If you are interested in applying for a position as an attorney, law clerk, or paralegal with Crandall, Wade & Lowe, please send a resume, cover letter, and writing sample to William F. Zulch (Orange County), Curtis L. Metzgar (Rancho Cucamonga), or Lorraine Jones (Los Angeles).  If you would merely like to inquire about positions at our firm, please fill out our contact form and someone will get back to you.

Associates

Crandall, Wade & Lowe is a full service insurance, business, and litigation firm.  We handle challenging and complex legal matters for a wide variety of clients, many of whom are leaders in their respective industries.  Our attorneys value the firm's congenial atmosphere and maintain a healthy balance between their professional and personal lives.  At over 30 lawyers, Crandall, Wade & Lowe is big enough to handle the most sophisticated matters and service the largest clients, but small enough to provide personal attention and training to young lawyers.

Associates are encouraged to accept substantial responsibility for significant matters soon after joining the Firm, subject, of course, to the guidance of and training by experienced attorneys.

Summer Program

Our summer program is designed to acquaint outstanding first and second-year law students with the Firm and our practice, with the expectation that they will join us upon graduation from law school.  Historically, a very high percentage of our summer clerks have been offered and have accepted full-time positions with our Firm.  Many of which are now partners with our firm.

We provide our summer associates with a real life experience in the practice of law.  The students receive assignments directly from our attorneys, and they interact frequently with the assigning attorney regarding strategies, timeframes, questions, and the final work product.  Summer associates are invited to attend hearings, trials, depositions, closings, and meetings whenever appropriate, whether in connection with an assignment, or simply as a learning experience.  Each summer associate is paired with a "mentor" who makes a special effort to monitor the student's summer experience and is available to answer questions and offer assistance.

Our hiring criteria for summer associate candidates mirror our standard recruitment philosophy.  We seek students who are achieving a high level of success in law school, as evidenced by their grades and class standing, and who have strong undergraduate credentials.  In addition to their academic accomplishments, many of our summer associates have had significant work, volunteer or community service experience as well.  We select students who demonstrate character and personality traits that are consistent with our core values and the type of working environment that we try to achieve.

Since our time with the summer associates is limited and our days are busy, we arrange opportunities to spend time with the summer associates in relaxed settings outside of the office.  The summer associates and their families are invited to all of our intramural family softball outings, picnics, gatherings at attorneys' homes, local restaurants, museums, and various additional Southern California attractions.
